Warrant Services – Brazoria County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office

The Precinct 1 Constable’s Office is responsible for handling warrants issued by the Justice of the Peace courts and other jurisdictions. The majority of these warrants involve Class C misdemeanor offenses, such as:

✔️ Traffic violations
✔️ School attendance violations
✔️ Public intoxication
✔️ Minor drug offenses
✔️ Disorderly conduct
✔️ Simple assault

For warrants issued by the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, please call (979) 864-2200 for assistance.

What to Expect After a Warrant is Issued

Once a warrant is received by the Constable’s Office, it is:
📌 Date and time stamped for tracking
📌 Assigned to a Warrant Deputy for further action

The Warrant Deputy will attempt to contact the individual by:
📬 Mailing a Warrant Notice to inform them of the pending warrant
📞 Calling their home or workplace to advise them of potential arrest
🚔 Checking the Brazoria County jail system to determine if they are already in custody

If the individual is already incarcerated for another offense, the warrant will be served while they are in custody.

How to Resolve an Outstanding Warrant

If you have an outstanding warrant, it is important to address it promptly.

📞 Contact the Justice of the Peace Court Clerk where the warrant was issued:

  • Judge Jack Brown – (979) 297-4650
  • Judge Robin Rape – (979) 233-4700

When calling, be prepared to provide:
✔️ Full name
✔️ Date of birth
✔️ Texas Driver’s License or Identification Number

For older warrants, your personal information may have changed, so providing as much detail as possible will help the Court Clerk access your file. The Clerk will provide you with instructions on how to resolve the matter.
