Mosquito Control
The Brazoria County Mosquito Control District protects the health and well-being of county residents through surveillance, education, and with control measures to prevent and control both pest mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases.
Brazoria County Mosquito Control District was established and continues to operate as a public health pest control/vector control district. It utilizes both ground and air spraying to control areas where disease carrying mosquitoes breed and adult mosquitoes are present. The mosquito control district also sets light and gravid traps to collect mosquitoes for identification purposes and to test for mosquito borne viruses.
