Filing a Complaint
If you wish to file a complaint regarding the conduct of a deputy or employee, you may do so through the following channels:

Investigation Process
Once a complaint is received, it will be reviewed to determine if an investigation is warranted. If an investigation is deemed necessary, according to Texas Government Code Section 614.022 the complainant will be required to submit a sworn affidavit before the process can move forward. This ensures that all complaints are officially documented and handled with the utmost integrity.
🚨 Important Note
The Office of Professionalism and Ethics will not investigate complaints related to:
❌ The validity of a traffic citation
❌ The appropriateness of charges filed in a police investigation
These matters must be addressed through the court system, as they fall outside the scope of administrative investigations.
How to Handle Traffic Citations
If you received a citation from a Brazoria County Precinct 1 Deputy, please review your citation to determine the court handling your case. The Judge’s Name and/or Court Name is listed at the top of your citation.
