Payments for Civil and Family Court Costs

Money orders, cashier's checks, checks from law office accounts and insurance checks are accepted. Please show style and cause number on your remittance. Personal checks are not accepted.

Credit Card Payments may be made at Certified Payments with the District Clerk Bureau Code 4375276. Include your name and cause number to ensure your payment is correctly applied. There will be a 2.25% convenience fee or $1.00 minimum fee based on payment amount. You can also scan the QR code below to access Certified Payments.

If paying with credit/debit card in person, you must provide a valid ID that matches name on card and sign a receipt agreement. We do not accept American Express.

The District Clerk’s office does not accept any payments for criminal court costs.

Excess Proceeds

The District Clerk’s office has an Excess Proceeds Tax list that contains the cause number, date of deposit, expected disbursement date, and the amount. To receive this list, please follow the instructions listed below.

• Payment Type: Civil Copies
• Once payment is completed, send the payment ID to DCBookkeeping@brazoriacountytx.gov.
• An email will be sent to you within 1-2 business days with the report.

Registry

To deposit funds for a minor into the Registry, please complete the Registry Information Sheet. This will be turned in with the deposit.

For all other deposit/withdrawal inquiries or information regarding the Registry, please call 979-864-1112.

A W9 will be needed for most withdrawals from the Registry of the court. You can find a blank W9 form here.
